GFWC Fuquay-Varina Woman's Club card making workshopWe welcome all area women 40 years and older to visit with us during an upcoming club meeting.  We meet on the second Monday of the month (September through April) at our Clubhouse located at 602 N. Ennis Street near dowtown Fuquay-Varina. Social time with refreshments begins at 6:45pm and our general meeting begins at 7:15pm.

Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club Painting Class

Fuquay-Varina Woman's Club painting classFuquay-Varina Woman’s Club members and friends enjoyed a fun painting class with club member Martha Smallwood.

Proceeds were donated back to the club to support area art opportunities.

The Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club is the oldest civic organization in Fuquay-Varina and was organized in 1926 and federated in 1927. We are a member of the District VI of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs of North Carolina, Inc. (GFWC-NC)

Since, 1902, GFWC-NC members have been committed to making their communities, the state and nation a better place to live and work.

Come out and Support Fuquay-Varina Rockstar All-Star Cheer Club Feb 18th

Date: February 18th
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Location: Fuquay-Varina Mason Jar Tavern, 305 S. Main Street
Cost: $10 at the Door

This event serves as a fundraiser for the Girls on the AllStar Cheer Squad to attend their National Competition. Monies raised assist in off-setting the expense of travel and payment for registration.

The Cheer Squad currently has one team attending Nationals this year. The past year saw 3 teams attending the National Competition hosted at ESPN World of Sports, televised. The AllStar Cheer Squad represents the local community at a nation level with the assistance of the Mason Jar Tavern who donates ALL labor and food along with this event’s 100% profit goes directly to supporting the girls!

The ticket includes several large pancakes and a beverage.
